Background

Founded in 2001, Ravenswood Family Health Network is a federally qualified health center headquartered in the low-income East Palo Alto area of San Mateo County. We provide a full scope of health care services, including pediatrics, women’s health, family practice, behavioral health, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, ultrasound, mammography, x-ray, lab, health education, referrals, and enrollment to low-income, underserved individuals, children, and families in San Mateo County and Santa Clara County. Our primary service area in San Mateo County includes East Palo Alto, Belle Haven in Menlo Park, and North Fair Oaks in Redwood City, while our primary service area in Santa Clara County includes Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale.

Ravenswood Family Health Network receives U.S. Department of Health and Human Services funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Ravenswood sites are Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) deemed facilities. Ravenswood is a 501 (c)3 non-profit community-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering comprehensive medical, dental, mental health, and specialty healthcare services. Ravenswood is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).  Medical, Dental, & Behavioral Health professional employees may receive National Health Service Corps school loan repayment and scholarship forgiveness for working at Ravenswood.
