Medical Staff

Bilingual Registered Nurse—Under general supervision the primary function of the Bilingual Spanish/English Family Practice RN is to utilize the nursing process to provide direct and indirect support to the clinician in the delivery of patient care or to provide direct patient care. S/he accurately administers medications and immunizations as well as providing patient education and overseeing the provision of education by MAs on the clinical team. S/he performs independent triage and communicates with the clinician regarding actions taken. RNs are expected to demonstrate critical thinking skills, leadership and appropriate role modeling. Bilingual Medical Assistant–Under the direct supervision of the Department Manager, the Bilingual Spanish/English or Tongan/English Medical Assistant provides clinical support to the medical providers rooming patients, verifying medical history, preparing rooms and other tasks related to the care and treatment of patients in the clinic.  For a detailed description click here.

Bilingual Patient Services Assistant–The Bilingual Spanish/English Patient Services Assistant helps patients in scheduling their appointments, in registration, financial eligibility, consent for treatment, answers incoming calls, keeps the lobby area tidy and works with team members to provide excellent customer service.  Provides back-up support to the Call Center and provides translation services as needed.  For a detailed description click here.

Optometry Assistant–The Bilingual Spanish/English Optometry Assistant will assist the Optometrist with patient care, rooming patients, pre-testing, performing OCTs, visual fields and fundus photos.  All chief complaints and testing results will be documented into the electronic health record system.  S/He will work with the Referrals team to process new and existing referrals, make or reschedule appointments, and manage continuous patient and clinic flow by effectively communicating with team members and providers.  The Optometry Assistant will be cross trained to back-up the Optician who manages the Ravenswood Optical Shop, in helping patients with frames, fitting, ordering, adjusting repairing and dispensing prescription eye wear. Perinatal Community Health Worker–Under general supervision, the Perinatal Community Health Worker is responsible for providing perinatal related health education, nutrition, and psycho-social counseling, medical and social services coordination, as well as Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) approved health education classes to perinatal clients in the clinic setting. Women’s Health Program Assistant–Under the direct supervision of the Women’s Health Program Manager, the Women’s Health Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Women’s Health Department. The incumbent will facilitate patient and paperwork flow in and out of the department including but not limited to scheduling, confirming and re-confirming appointments;  contacting patients that no-show for appointments, searching, copying, scanning and sending documents to hospitals and specialists, answering and responding to phone calls and voicemail messages, rearranging patients schedules as needed, performing data entry to track patient status and statistics and other duties as requested.  For a detailed description click here.


Dental Staff

Bilingual Registered/Dental Assistant—Ravenswood Family Dentistry seeks and experienced bilingual Spanish/English Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant to assist dental providers with all treatments; responsible for sterilization, preparation, inventory and infection control of dental operatories and is able to perform independent dental procedures as delegated and directed by dental providers in accordance with state regulation, law and policies. Behavioral Health Staff

Licensed Clinical Psychologist or LCSW—Under the general direction of the Integrated Behavioral Health Services Clinical Director, the Bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is an active and essential member of our patient centered care team in providing guidance, assessment, and treatment for our patients. This clinician works alongside the medical providers and other staff members to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients by providing evidence-based treatment practices, facilitating the recognition of co-occurring alcohol and other drugs abuse issues, and providing a wide array of psychological services to help patients move along the continuum of change. Management Staff

Director of Clinical Operations–is responsible for day-to-day clinical operations, oversees clinical departments and clinical sites to ensure that service delivery operates efficiently, effectively, and delivers high quality health care. Responsible for directing clinical operations department managers and line supervisors who in turn oversee nursing staff, medical assistants, and other allied health staff, ensuring adequate provider and support staff coverage. Participates in recruitment, orientation, training, performance evaluation of staff under his/her direction and ensuring their adherence to all RFHC policies and standards as well as meeting RFHC health care objectives for grants and contracts, local, state and federal laws and regulations related to operating a community health center. Administrative Staff

Bilingual Certified Enrollment Counselor–The Certified Enrollment Counselor/CHA works under the direct supervision of the Enrollment and Eligibility Manager to screen and provide enrollment assistance to uninsured adults and children in San Mateo County. This position participates with various community enrollment sites and attends community health events. S/He is responsible for eligibility screening, conducting enrollments, responding to inquiries and registering or re-registering new and established Ravenswood Family Health Center (RFHC) patients.  For a detailed description click here

Human Resources Assistant—Under direct supervision, the Human Resources Assistant will provide overall HR and administrative support; be the first point of contact to the HR Department, coordinate volunteer recruitment, assist in coordinating staff events and serve on internal committees. Development Assistant—Under the general direction of the Director of Development, Planning & Evaluation, the Development Assistant (DA) is responsible for providing assistance and support to Ravenswood Family Health Center (RFHC) in the following areas: grants and reporting; fundraising campaigns and events; branding, marketing and communications; and relationship management and customer service. Health Program Planner/Grant Writer–Under the direction of the Director of Development, Planning & Evaluation, Ravenswood Family Health Center’s (RFHC) Health Program Planner/Grant Writer will be responsible for each of the following areas: 1) develop, plan, write, and package grant applications and grant reports for a variety of health care programs; 2) strengthen resources and funding for RFHC’s health care programs; and 3) increase awareness about the organization and its work among patients, partners, funders, etc. For a detailed description click here

IT Help Desk Technician–Under direct supervision, the Help Desk Technician is responsible for resolving help desk ticket items from internal staff members doing first response trouble shooting for software and hardware issues. S/He will provide integral support to the IT Team in the evaluation, implementation, integration, deployment, and maintenance of organization-wide applications. Financial Staff

Staff Accountant II–Under general supervision, the Staff Accountant II is primarily responsible for processing payroll for all employees on a biweekly basis and maintaining payroll related general ledger accounts by performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations including preparation of journal entries and account accruals.  The Staff Accountant II is responsible for preparing payroll reports to be distributed for internal and external use in addition to accounting duties as assigned.  For a detailed description click here.
Billing Clerk–Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Billing Clerk is responsible for the preparation and submission of billing for all payers including self-pay patients, public program, and private third party insurance. Facility Staff

Facility Worker–Under direct supervision, s/he is responsible for assisting in all facilities department services including but not limited to pick up and delivery of supplies, equipment and food to RFHC buildings or clients, escorting employees to their vehicles when requested, responding to and completing building maintenance and repair requests, setting up/tearing down conference rooms, moving furniture and keeping RFHC grounds in safe and clean condition and daily janitorial duties.
