No money, no mission. The finances of a community health center are among the most complex in the health care industry. (NACHC)
Maintaining a steady funding stream is a feat. We work with three major sources:
- Government grants
- Public health insurance reimbursements
- Private foundations & donors
Public Health Care Coverage Reimbursement
|Public Health Care Coverage||% of patients|
|ACE – Adult coverage Expansion||15%|
|Health Plan of San Mateo||2%|
In FY 2011-12 Ravenswood Family Health Center and Ravenswood Family Dentistry billed a total of $8,326,191 in services.
Sliding Fee: Patients who do not qualify for any form of public insurance pay for their care on a sliding fee scale. Based on their annual income, the patient may pay from $20 to $50 per visit.
Grants provide 51% of our annual revenue. The largest grant is a Federal 330 grant that covers operating expenses for the uninsured..
RFHC receives significant support for major health partners including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Sequoia Healthcare District..
As our most recent audit for Fiscal year 2011-12 reveals, we have surpassed previous years with a significant revenue increase from all sources. See Audit for FY 2011-12.http://www.ravenswoodfhc.org/images/pdf/Audit_FY_2011-12.pdf
