Share your love for Reading
If reading and storytelling is a passion of yours, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you! These activities hold power in spaces where children are present– it can put a smile on a child’s face, fuel creativity, and ease any worries around medical appointments. Our volunteers would have the opportunity to select books from our Stanford Health library selection and sit with children in the patient waiting room to read them stories as they wait for their appointments. We also accept children’s book donations year-round that cover ages 6 months to 10 years.
Tend to our Garden (Seasonal)
Our clinic garden producing yummy treats for our community and staff!
The purpose of the garden is to bring people together to enjoy a green space within an urban environment and enjoy healthy foods. Volunteers would have the opportunity to tend to our garden through a variety of activities including helping us clean our garden to ensure a successful growing season, planting seeds, managing the garden pests, removing weeds, and harvesting ripened edibles.
Gift Baskets & Connectivity
Every season of the year is a perfect time to give the gift of nourishment and health! We need volunteers like you to help us accumulate materials and craft gift baskets for families within our patient population. These baskets will be made for new moms who need materials for their newborns or food baskets for families.
If you are a company who is interested in giving the gift of health and wellness, you can donate materials and your time to create these gift baskets, please contact our development department at (650) 617-7832.
